Sri Lanka v England

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

If it was his ball Kevin Pietersen would have stuck it in his pocket and stormed off home, petulantly mumbling “Stupid bloody game…you don’t know what you’re talking about…I wasn’t out…cheating b$%&*£ds…I’m telling my mum.” Instead the England batsman just stood around until things got a little embarrassing, then he stood around a little longer and finally stormed off in a huff. Kev was unhappy with the catch which sent him packing with just 1 run to his name, claiming the ball hit the ground first. His captain Michael Vaughan came out in his defence asking for the umpires to use “common sense.” The ruling stood though and a late clutch of wickets for Malinga saw England’s strong start Pieter out. 4.00am SS1

Fry’s Electronic Open

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

With Phil Mickelson deciding to play in this week’s US golf tournament, we don’t need to come up with a well researched story. All we have to do is think up some fat jokes. Although most of the top golfers on the PGA Tour are resting after a long hard season, old lefty has decided to take part in the Fry’s Electronic Open. After an injury plagued year you could say the American is hungry for success, but we know he prefers beef burgers. Joking aside, the 37 year old is looking forward to the event. “My excitement level to get back out and compete is still very high right now.” Will Mickelson appease his appetite at the Fry’s Electronic Open?
