Wigan Vs Man Utd

Here we are at the last match of the English Premier League Season.

If Man Utd wins, they win the league. If they draw, Chelsea draw, they still win the league. If they lose, Chelsea lose, Man Utd still wins the league. So on and so forth.

Seeing Man Utd line up, you can tell for sure they are in for the kill.

As you can see, Bettingmood.com is predicting a 1-1 draw in this match, and a win for Chelsea against Bolton. Which is to say, Bettingmood.com is looking at Chelsea lifting the trophy this afternoon. ^_^

Anyway, with the kick off, Wigan seems to be on the attack more often than Man Utd. Wigan with nothing to play for, looks more wanting a win than Man Utd. The visitors looks alittle distracted of so sort. Or is the atmosphere of the JJB stadium intimidating.

The funny thing of this match when you watch it, is that you get the feeling Wigan is playing around with Man Utd. Knowing they need a win to get a cushion to lean on, in case Chelsea wins. You get help for feel the tension building within inside Man Utd’s heads.

Now on the 22nd minute mark, Man Utd still seem to be on the backfoot. Wigan has been attacking and attacking. It is quite unbelievable to see how laid back they are.

A good break on the 23rd minute by Scholes sees Man Utd have their first good chance with Ronaldo breaking away from the offside trap. But his low cross in is easily cleared.

On the 25th minute, Man Utd gets a direct free kick, where Ronaldo steps up. His favorite area. He strikes it well, and forces a great save from Kirkland.

Zzzzzzzz…. Opps. Nearly doze off from this match.

Oh dear oh dear. Rooney is tripped in the penalty area on the 31st minute.

Penalty given.

Ronaldo steps up for the penalty.

Ronaldo versus Kirkland. Will he miss?

Of course not. But he still expresses himself with the irritating arrogance. Ah well, he does have the skills and of course, wealth. Why would he not be arrogant.

Chelsea must be feeling so dejected now. IF they were to be leading against Bolton at this point, they must be thinking why are they playing on when they are losing the season trophy.

And now, Scholes is shown the yellow card for blocking off Palacios.

I really do not understand why they have to be that way. What way you would ask.

Well, being nasty and damn bloody girls. When they foul, when they are in the wrong and get into trouble, they react as if the whole world is blaming them wrongly. But if the other team fouls or commits something that is not right, they blabber all the way. you don’t see that very often in other teams. Not that other teams don’t do that. But Man Utd are the masters of the masters in this field.

Then again, I guess you need to be a whiner to be the champions of the league. Champions IF they survive this match of course.

Seems like after the penalty, Man Utd has been rejuvenated. They seem to be playing better than the earlier minutes. Not that Wigan has backed down. But the game is now quite balanced between both teams.

Half time whistle blows, with Man Utd leading by 1 goal.

Zzzzzzzzz….

Ah~ 2nd half starts. As usual, it is a boring match.

47th minute, Man Utd has a free kick a few yards outside the box. Ronaldo takes it, and produces a brilliant shot! But Kirkland is up to it with a top notch save. I hope Wigan brings up the heat of the game. It is the last day of the season after all.

Rooney takes a great low shot at the 55th minute. Again Kirkland produces a fine save. He HAS to be England number one.

News from stamford bridge says that Shevchenko has put Chelsea in the lead against Bolton.

All that is left is for Wigan to equalize with Chelsea is to win the league. 27mins left for the season to end.

You can see the anxiety on all the Man Utd face. The tension is unbearable. 15mins remaining and if Wigan is to score a single goal, all will be lost for Man Utd.

And there it is. Ryan Giggs. Scoring the 2nd goal, which most probably is the winning goal of the season. What a season for Giggs. What a way to end his season.

Well, end of the season of the EPL 2007/08. Hope you guys who have followed Bettingmood’s tips won a fortune. Cheers! On with the other leagues’ finales and of course, Euro2008!
